We predicted it ages ago. Once we heard about the Porsche Boxster and Cayman moving from that glorious six-cylinder powerplant to a four, we knew this would be problematic.
We held our hopes up high because we did hear it would feature a boxer four rather than a buzzy inline setup. But the early reviews are in and they're not too great — at least when it comes to the aural experience.
So, now what?
Though I know some of you will think I am mad, I am a fan of the Lotus Evora. I think it had an excellent design that's been a bit damaged by the 400's exterior additions but let's put that aside. When I piloted the last-gen Evora S, its six-cylinder sounded epic whether cruising around town or giving it the beans.
And now? Well, I'll let you decide. What do YOU make of the Lotus Evora 400's soundtrack?
Does it have you forgetting about the new 718 Cayman?
