Now we’ve seen some pretty weird stuff before but this is definitely up there. Not because it’s so extravagant or ridiculous, mostly due to the fact that there’s a lot of work involved. That’s because someone took a Toyota FJ and chopped the top off. While it may seem as easy as grabbing a saw and cutting some pillars, there’s a lot more to it than just that. When creating a convertible, engineers tirelessly work to create a driving experience that’s as close as possible to a hard top variant. Remember, when you cut off the roof, that eliminates one of the most critical pieces of an automobile — structural rigidity. Spotted by Agent 001 in Boston where he was in town for a friendly dinner, he couldn’t let this opportunity pass by. While the Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet was a punchline for many jokes, we think that this FJ isn’t all that bad. A bit in your face but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. What say you, Spies? Is it a STUD or DUD?
