Both cars MSRP's are similar with the usual options (2003 models) but how much are they really worth today, if you wanted to get out and trade for something else.And the winner is?

BMW 745Li (2003 current wholesale value-$64,000)
Mercedes-Benz S430 (2003 current wholesale value-$61,000)
Remember, the 745 is around $78K with typical options and the Benz is $75K (source: Edmunds). That accounts for the $3K difference.
