A new report from Britain’s Car magazine reveals Aston is readying an electrified version of the Cygnet, which launches in gas-powered form later this year.
In an interview in the current issue of Car, Aston CEO Ulrich Bez says, “‘We believe there is a market for an urban runabout which is easy to park and very economical yet almost as well appointed as a Vantage.”
Car said the standard Cygnet will be a moneymaker for Aston, which is paying Toyota a wholesale price of around $16,000 a car.
