It's official. BMW will be bringing the M3/M4 — not sure which or both — to the Monterey Weekend festivities. Set to bow at the Pebble Beach Concours, the M3/M4 are some of BMW's most highly anticipated products of the year.

And if the details we're hearing are completely true, which we're sure they are, it's already sounding like it's going to be one helluva product.

That's because an SVP, Klaus Froehlich, has come out and made some really intriguing statements. Here's what he said:

- 80 percent of the M3/M4 parts are all new
- Bespoke version of BMW's new modular engine
- 7-spee dual-clutch transmission
- Carbon fiber bodywork to keep weight down

This all shouldn't come as a complete surprise as we've been keeping our ears and eyes peeled.


This is the BMW 435i, fitted with BMW M Performance upgrades that take it one step closer to the look of the new M4, which will debut as a near-production concept at next month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California.

Both the M4 Coupe and M3 saloon will then be shown at the Detroit Motor Show next January, alongside the convertible version of the new 4 Series, and the new BMW 2 Series Coupe. The M4 and M3 are due to go on sale in the UK in Summer 2014...
