Now while Agent 001 is a truck guy through and through, I tend to stay away. Although I think they're cool and I love being able to cruise rough terrain without a problem, they just don't typically "do it" for me.
However, when I did get my hands on a Jeep Wrangler for the first time I have to say it was a ridiculously fun experience. More or less, it reminded me of a Corvette. Awful, Spartan interior but incredibly fun to drive.
That said, given the lineage and history behind the Wrangler I found myself asking "What was the Wrangler's competition way back when?"
Thanks to a user submitted photograph of an old-school Toyota FJ, I think it's pretty obvious. Set up with its "bash bar" this thing looks like it means business.
NOW, here's the catch. I'll let YOU decide if you want to pick a vintage version over the modern trucks. Hell, you can even pick both -- for example, you may say that the vintage FJ is better over the Willys Jeep; however, the modern Wrangler SPANKS the modern FJ.
Given that I've cleared things up, it's judgment time. Would you prefer the Jeep Wrangler or the Toyota FJ -- vintage or modern, we want to hear what YOU gotta say!
