If you're one of the few proud owners of a 2008 to 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo, you better give the company or your local dealer a call as soon as possible.

That's because Maserati has issued a recall because its taillight assemblies have a "deviation," which sounds a lot like a defect, in some of their bulbs. This may cause the light not to function.

Considering your brake lights are one of the essential elements to drive on public roads safely, we suggest if you have a Gran Turismo in your garage, you get it checked immediately.

Maserati is recalling almost 1,800 of its 2008-10 GranTurismo coupes and convertibles for what it calls a “deviation” in the manufacture of taillight assemblies. The assemblies’ bulbs, including those in the brake lights, may fail, the automaker informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Thursday.
