The whole world seems to be relying on Google Maps to go places, but if you needed more proof that this isn’t always a good idea, here’s a case from Scotland. Google Maps incorrectly flagged the A9, the country’s longest trunk road, as closed, sending drivers to a single-track road where some vehicles could barely fit.
It happened on Friday, when Google Maps started prompting drivers on the A9 to use a road between Dunkeld and Pitlochry.
