The last two days I had to opportunity to go to the Porsche World Road Show at the Autobahn Race Club in Joliet, Illinois. It was a blast. I was able to drive the Boxster Spyder, Boxster S and Cayman R on a short autocross circuit and the 911 Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4S and the Cayman S on a high speed (110mph) road course. In addition they took me for a ride in a 911 Turbo S around the track with their race driver.
I was also able to take a test drive in the 911 Black Edition Coupe, Cayenne S Hybrid, Panamera, Panamera 4, Cayman, Boxster and Boxster S on the public roads for an extended test drive.
I'm just going to give my personal impressions on each car and below you'll find the pictures.
Also, if you are in Atlanta or New York and are interested in attending contact your dealer and they might be able to register you.
Enjoy

Impressions
Boxster- Needs a little more room and more power.
Boxster S- Still needs more room but the power is right on. Kinda makes you question buying a 911 Convertible...kinda.
Panamera and Panamera 4- Great cars, wish they had the V8's, but otherwise loved them. Looked great in person, the 6 has nice power and is more than fine for 90% of people. It's quick and very smooth. The car had a great ride and was very comfortable.
Cayenne Hybrid- I'd buy it! The power is just fine. Just as smooth and a little quicker than the Panamera. It's a great size and I like the interior.
Cayman R- Hell the F&@% yes!!! It's a beast. The power was right on and it handled greatly, not too harsh at all.
Boxster Spyder- Seats were tight for me but the engine sounds great. I like the Spyder more than the Cayman R just because I could hear the engine better. Even though the car its near its redesign and kinda expensive I could make a case for bringing one home.
911 Coupe- I drove this one on the track and it was just right. Its the right amount of power and most of us would be very happy with that as a daily driver or a track car.
911 Carrera S- Freakin sweet!!! Sport Chrono is this thing is amazing. The PDK feels like it kicks you in the back with each shift and I would do that at every light. You feel and hear the extra power. Oh and I found out the PSM stands for Please Save Me...not Porsche Stability Management. It saved the rear end from swinging around on me at 70mph on a curve.
911 C4S Cabrio- On the track I loved it. There is a pronounced difference in the handling between the S and the 4S. I could feel the grip. I got to 102 on the back straightway and wanted to keep going.
Cayman S- On the track at speed I loved it. Handles great.
911 Turbo S- OMFG...I want one. I need a banker to loan me $165,000. The driver took me around the track in this thing and it was INSANE. I gotta get me one. The power was always there. It shoved me into the seat like it was trying to push me through the seat. If you ever have the opportunity to go for a ride do it!!!
Hope you guys enjoy the pics.
