Despite strides it had made for biofuels, energy giant Shell is moving forward with plans to open a series of hydrogen refueling stations in New York. After opening a second NYC station at the JFK international airport, a station in the Bronx will follow later this month.
An H2 station in White Plains has been open since April 2008. These stations, all about 30 miles apart, are dubbed by Shell as its “first cluster of hydrogen filling stations.” Currently, only “agreed vehicles” can use the new JFK location.
