Although the Land Rover Defender is officially dead now, that doesn't mean it won't live on. We're confident that the proud owners of currently running examples will continue to operate them that way until they're run into the ground.

And like any other desirable vehicle, we're confident that other Defenderphiles will find ways to keep them on the road.

But because the Defender is such a remarkably capable vehicle, we're thinking that many other folks that use their Defenders will keep them running. Examples include ambulances, safari tour guides, and fire engines to name a few.

At the celebration marking the end of a good run, all sorts of Defenders throughout the years showed up. This includes some of the examples listed above as well as all the different generations and body styles throughout its 68 years of being in production.
