I can't think of anything MORE annoying than returning to your car only to find a boot on it. Now, imagine that happening when you didn't even expect it. Well, that's what has been happening across the pond in the UK and some folks are getting upset about it.
So much so, it led one mother to concoct a bit of revenge.
To keep this brief, the mother received a phone call from her son claiming he had left his vehicle parked for a short period of time -- only to get the change for the meter -- and when he returned his vehicle had been clamped. The situation escalated when the boy's mother heard the worker teasing her son. This, in turn, led to the mother getting medieval on his ass with some sludge -- granted, she has a weak toss.
This is the moment a mother chased a wheel-clamper with a bucket of porridge, vegetables and food colouring before hurling it over the seats of his van.
A friend recorded Julia Hazel’s fury when she was charged £205 to free her son’s car after he had allegedly left it for two minutes to obtain change for a parking meter.
Ms Hazel, 48, was later ordered to pay £60 compensation to clamping firm City Watch.
Now to put this whole thing into context, I highly suggest you watch this video because clamping in the UK isn't the same as getting a boot in the States.
According to folks involved in these incidents, it seems that these private security companies are hired to clamp cars, even if signs are cut down or not within plain sight. Yikes...
