G-Power from Germany wants to offer the ultimate M3 for road and track use, but rather than using the latest generation for its hardcore machine, the aftermarket firm starts the earlier E92-generation as the basis for this road-legal corner carver that it calls the M3 GT2 S Hurricane.

The company overhauls the M3’s already impressive standard V8 powertrain. The biggest change is that a long-stroke crankshaft boosts the displacement to 4.5 liters from the stock 4.0 liters. There are also forged components for the pistons and connecting rods. The stronger internals are necessary because G-Power also adds a supercharger that runs at 11.6 psi (0.8 bar). The result of all of this work is 709 horsepower (529 kilowatts) and 479 pound-feet (650 Nm). An limited-slip differential with a separate oil cooler helps make sure all of this grunt gets to the road.
