As predicted by Auto Spies: Restyled Infiniti M45 coming

They're playing to win with this one!

As predicted by the Spies a few weeks ago, a restyled 2005 Infiniti M45 is imminent.

We said it would be a larger, more stylish G35.

Take a look below to see if we were right...

Nissan is showing a new "concept" in Tokyo called the "FUGA".

Info from Nissan:

Main Features of Concept Cars

FUGA

Proposing a new direction in luxury cars that are both sporty and roomy
- Fuga’s styling achieves two elements of a sporty exterior and roomy interior without tolerating any compromises.
- The FR-L Platform (FM Package), which is also used on the new Skyline, delivers superb driving performance.
- Interior spaciousness surpasses all other sedans in this class. Fuga’s tall overall height that provides ample headroom, and legroom is expanded for rear-seat occupants.
- The interior’s overall tone is unified in Japanese imagery and a modern design.
- Human-machine interfaces (HMI) that are simpler and easier to understand and operate are located in the middle of the center console.  Control switches mounted on the steering wheel reduce the driver’s workload substantially while providing multifunctionality.

Our spies tell us it is definitely a VERY close approximation of what the 05' M45 will look like.

As you know, we were the ONLY magazine that had the guts to say the current M45 is one of the ugliest designs we've seen in a LONG time (The Cayenne is beautiful compared to to the M!).

Well, the brass at Nissan must have read that issue and took our comments to heart about this eye sore.

We say thank GOD! They are acting quickly...and will terminate it (current M45) with extreme predjudice.

What do we think of the new iteration?

We think BMW and MB will be sweating bullets when this thing hits the ground!

In our opinion, it's hands down better looking than the E-class or new 5-series.

We love the lines and how it looks from ALL angles!

They designers didn't get tired when they got to the back end!

The only thing still left in question is will the performance live up to the design.

Please don't let us down like you did with the Q!

We also say it will be one of the front runners for the 2005 Car of the year

We'd love your feedback about this vehicle at

*Note the front and rear seat iDrive-like controllers...will they beat the next-gen S-class to the punch and be the first car with front and rear units?
