Amid discussions about China's rapid advancements in EV production, Bill Ford Jr. shines a light on the United States' current emissions achievements. In an interview on CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS, he asserted that America is "not quite yet ready" to compete with China in the EV market. Ford emphasizes the importance of readiness, acknowledging China's significant progress and the potential future exportation of their EVs to the American market. Ford's dual perspective sparks a thought-provoking conversation about the intersection of emissions records, economic competition, and climate action.

USA's Environmental Achievement:

While raising concerns about China, Ford's remarks shed light on the USA's commendable achievements in emissions reduction. The United States has made significant strides in recent years, emerging as one of the cleanest countries on the planet in terms of emissions. This environmental success highlights the effectiveness of policies, technological advancements, and societal efforts in curbing carbon emissions. However, the contrast between America's environmental accomplishments and concerns about Chinese dominance introduces a complex dichotomy that demands careful analysis.

So the issue is simple but a TOUGH decision is necessary...

If we continue on this path forcing the USA to go EV then China will win and eventually own the battery AND auto business. Doesn't matter who you ask, that it inevitable on the current path.

OR, do we pull back hard on the EV push and starve China while we figure out how to win? But if we do that, the climate goals won't be met.

But we'll still have a vibrant auto biz, people will have jobs and we can be energy independent again.

Pretend it's YOUR decision and the outcome is ALL on you.

WHICH way would YOU go?
