A 2010 Chevrolet Corvette, primarily used for marketing, research, and development, has just hit 300,000 miles. The C6 achieved the milestone over years of relentless track testing and road driving, as engineers have tried to prove the durability of GM's and Callaway's engineering.
The car, an early-production example, number 56 of the 6,042 of its kind produced in 2010, started out in life as a standard C6 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and was immediately purchased and heavily modified by Callaway. When stock, the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 produced 430 horsepower (436 metric horsepower) and 424 pound-feet (575 Newton meters) of torque.
