The Porsche Cayenne Electric can now be charged without a cable. The Porsche Wireless Charger (PWC) system has officially gone on sale in the United Kingdom, making it the first factory-supported vehicle inductive charging solution available in the United Kingdom. The feature launched simultaneously across Germany, France, Austria and other European markets.
To have the Cayenne Electric charge wirelessly, customers have to purchase two distinct hardware components: a vehicle-side pad and a ground pad. The Porsche UK configurator reveals that the Porsche Wireless Charging Ground Pad can be acquired for 5,355 pounds, which is the equivalent of $7,175.
