The Ford Motor Company has identified an issue affecting certain 2023 through 2025 model year Mustang Mach-E vehicles produced at Cuautitlan Assembly in Mexico for the United States market. In these zero-emission crossovers, the rear side quarter window glass trim could very well fly off the vehicle, creating a debris hazard.
Ford's latest field service action focuses on right- and left-side rear quarter glass assemblies from Saint-Gobain Mexico. Their part numbers are LJ8Z-5829726-A and LJ8Z-5829727-A, respectively. Internal evaluations revealed that inadequate adhesive application or surface bonding may compromise the structural attachment of the moldings over time.
