A massive safety recall involving 1.5 million Ram 1500 pickup trucks globally has been issued by the Stellantis group. In these vehicles, a manufacturing oversight may compromise occupant safety in a crash. Of the nearly 1.5 million units, just under 1.3 were sold in the United States, alongside just around 156,000 units in Canada, 15,000 in Mexico, and 74,000 elsewhere.

These half-ton pickup trucks were produced for model years 2019 through 2026. Most of the affected vehicles were proudly assembled at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. The Saltillo plant in Mexico is a supplemental facility whose Ram 1500 production mostly targets Mexico and specific export markets to support the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant.
