Toyota's foray into electric off-roading has recently hit a speed bump. As per documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ruggedized bZ Woodland is at the center of a safety recall affecting 2026 models produced for the United States market.
   
The recall condition traces back to a tow converter module designed for managing trailer lighting when a trailer or a camper is hitched. Made in Mexico by Curt Manufacturing, the suspect module contains a printed circuit board with a soldering defect, increasing the risk of an electrical short.
