2005 PORSCHEĀ® CAYENNE MODELS RECEIVE SATELLITE RADIO

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. Offers SIRIUS and XM Satellite Radios in Cayenne, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo

Porsche Cars North America Inc. (PCNA)announced that it will offer its customers the choice of a SIRIUS or an XM satellite radio system as a factory installed option on all 2005 Porsche Cayenne, Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo sport-utility vehicles. Factory installations at Porsche Leipzig, the company's assembly facility in Leipzig, Germany and home to the Cayenne and the Carrera GT, will begin in July 2004.

The SIRIUS and XM satellite radio systems give Porsche Cayenne owners a variety of commercial free programming on more than 110 and 120 channels, respectfully. Vehicles with XM radio will come with a three-month trial subscription to the XM service.

In June 1998, Porsche announced plans to build the Cayenne, and it began selling the model through its North American dealers in March 2003. Porsche's first SUV blends outstanding on-pavement performance with extremely capable off-pavement driving characteristics. Designed and developed at Porsche's Research and Development Center in Weissach, Germany, the Cayenne expands Porsche's line-up of high-performance vehicles while meeting the company's performance and quality standards and fulfilling the utility and reliability expectations of an SUV. Porsche offers three Cayenne models: Cayenne with a V6 engine, Cayenne S with a V8 engine, and the twin-turbocharged Cayenne Turbo.

For 2005, Porsche introduces a six-speed manual gearbox for the Cayenne with a V6 engine. The model is available in the United States starting at an MSRP of $41,100 ($58,500 Canadian). As of June 2004, the U.S. base MSRPs are as follows: Cayenne with Tiptronic transmission, $44,100 ($62,500 Canadian); Cayenne S, $56,300 ($78,800 Canadian); and Cayenne Turbo, $89,300 ($125,650 Canadian).
