We think some of his logic is flawed, like suggesting a Mercury Mustang. Unless, he means using the Mustang platform and renaming this new model a Cougar.

Are you ready to risk another Jaguar X-Type? That Jag is a failure. Why would Ford want to risk repeating failure, repeating the X-Type experience, instead of imitating the only great success with Lincoln in its entire 80-year history, the rear-drive Town Car?
What's more, the design of that coming big Lincoln isn't exactly a head-turner. I saw it at your pre-Christmas party. I wouldn't exactly call it a coffin nail, but the idea of an AWD Lincoln defies logic.
