The latest and greatest from Cadillac, the XTS, made a little splash the Detroit Auto Show. Likely to replace the DTS/STS, the XTS will be a very important vehicle for the brand going into the future.
As the flagship, it needs to represent the brand with a bit of zest. And, it does. Looking a bit like a mash-up of the CTS and the upcoming ATS Concept -- that we got an early preview of -- the XTS wears a conservative and handsome face. The long body boasts "Cadillac form language," and 001 feels that the backside channels the "Cadillac of old."
Straight from Cadillac, here is a video breakdown of the design details and the designers influences, directly from the people who made this car possible.
Note: Look at the gauge cluster's motion at the 2:53 mark. As we reported after the Detroit Auto Show, General Motor's higher ups are confident this system will surpass Ford's SYNC.
