Toyota Motor Sales USA, (TMS) Inc. today announced the following organizational changes.
Jim Lentz, formerly TMS group vice president and general manager of its Toyota Division is nominated to the position of executive vice president of TMS, pending approval at the June 23 annual shareholders' meeting.
Reporting to TMS Chairman and CEO Yuki Funo, Lentz' responsibilities would include sales, marketing and distribution in the United States.
If approved, Lentz would remain general manager of TMS' Toyota Division, with additional responsibilities over sales administration and logistics.
Dating to 1982, Lentz' career with Toyota includes assignments in merchandising, distribution, field operations, sales administration, truck sales, and marketing. As vice president of Scion, Lentz was responsible for the initial launch of an all-new line of vehicles. A graduate of the University of Denver, Lentz earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and economics, a master's degree in finance, and an MBA.
Jim Press, formerly president and COO of TMS, has been named president of Toyota Motor North America (TMA), Inc., the North American subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. Press will assist with the management transition
until June 23.
