This week I am with Audi in southern California driving the all-new, 2017 Audi A4. There is much to say about Audi's all-new entry-level luxury vehicle but I have to say there's some real excitement going on with the four rings.
That's because the all-new R8 Spyder just got leaked and we're seeing the whole enchilada. Literally, it was caught completely nude.
Zero camouflage. Zippo. Nada.
Painted a shade we definitely never saw the last-generation R8 in, a bright yellow, it is a color we haven't seen on an Audi since I think the Imola Yellow B8 S4. It's an exceedingly bold choice but it really works on the drop top R8. Call me crazy but I like it.
And. AND! I think it works with the second-generation's much maligned design.
As of now there's no word where the Audi supercar will debut but given this factory car — note the plates have "IN" for Ingolstadt and "R8" in them — was caught completely out in the open in Germany, I think it's safe to say this car is bound for the 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS).
