Although BMW's next-generation X3 has yet to unveil itself, I do not think it really has to at this point because so much has been shown.
For example, BMW has taken the liberty to unleash yet another set of photographs of the all-new X3. And, it isn't really shying away from anything. In these shots the car's form is pretty easily seen as are some significant design details, like the rear lights. In my opinion, they look very similar to the current iteration of the E90 3-Series shape.
BMW even got the current X3 lined up to it side-by-side and that's when things really become transparent. Although the shape of the vehicle remains true to the original X3 there are some quickly spotted differences.
Things I notice right off the bat is an increased width and height as well as longer front doors. Damn those original X3s with the narrow front door openings were annoying. Looks like that problem is solved.
The other details around the vehicle seem to make this design a much more fluid interpretation of the last generation X3.
