You know a car is sexy when its manufacturer emphasizes that it can't divulge its customers' names. Granted, Kia and Saturn aren't broadcasting buyers' identities, but super high-end automakers like Rolls-Royce and Ferrari make an especially big stink about confidentiality.

A couple of weeks ago, Florida-based Mosler Automotive delivered its first MT 900S, a $190,000, razor-sharp, street-legal supercar with a Corvette engine and a top speed of over 180 miles per hour.

Mosler put out a press release on the delivery and, sure enough, in the first two paragraphs stated it is "not at liberty to divulge the identity" of the "prominent California filmmaker" who bought the vehicle.

It's not just a marketing ploy. The MT 900S, which has a zero-to-60 time of 3.1 seconds, is an exotic, high-profile vehicle with the kind of performance chops that attract people with millions of dollars at their disposal. Here's proof that the Mosler "walks the walk": It's been available for less than two weeks but is, by our measurements, the sixth-fastest American car on the market.
