There are two cars out there that speak incredibly loud to auto journalists. The Cadillac CTS-V wagon and the new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake.

Journalists will essentially hump anything with 500 horsepower and is in wagon form. It's plain fact.

Even though these vehicles are clearly flawed with their limited utility -- even though that's exactly what a wagon is suppose to provide -- and limited rear seat legroom and headroom, I wager that not one journo will give it flack. That's because they'll be too busy doing burnouts.

And it's funny because the BMW X5M was constantly associated with "not making sense," even though it can fit a 6'3 passenger in front and back at the same time -- comfortably -- and has a trunk with plenty of space.

Anyhow, Mercedes-Benz trotted out the latest AMG to hit the streets in a stunning silver matte finish with an equally stunning white, black and carbon fiber trimmed interior. But that's not the best bit. The best part is the wood floor in the trunk.

Now I can't be certain if that's teak but it reminds me of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead's teak torneau cover. [After Googling, I can confirm it is, in fact, teak in the Shooting Brake.]
