Sometimes less can be more.

That’s what you get with the redesigned third generation of the 2014 Acura MDX arriving in showrooms now.

A smaller V-6 engine with 10 fewer horsepower provides better fuel economy.A 275 pound weight loss from the new structural design leaves the optional all-wheel-drive version of the MDX feeling just as peppy and nimble as ever.

That’s right. For the first time, the MDX doesn’t come standard with all-wheel drive. It’s a $2,000 option. That makes the base all-wheel-drive MDX about $3,000 more expensive than the 2013 model.
