Toyota was producing an ultra-luxury car long before the term 'ultra-luxury' was coined. The Toyota Century has been a Japan-only sedan for decades, its cost and limited production restricting it to the markets of the Imperial House of Japan, Japanese government leaders, and high-level executive business people. Since 1967, the Century has been the pinnacle of master Japanese automotive craftsmanship. It doesn't even use a Toyota badge - instead it uses the phoenix logo representing the Imperial House of Japan.
 
Older used models have made it to various global markets, but Toyota is finally considering bringing the Century out into the rest of the world.
