Toyota just a huge sales increase in China (a difficult market for a Japanese company due to historical tensions). The sales jumped an amazing 88% in September 2006.
Volkswagen AG also reported a sales increase of 29%.
Volkswagen sold 524,588 vehicles, while Toyota sold 203,000 vehicles in the same period.
